San Fransisco Huazalingo, Hidalgo , Mexico is set on the top of the ridge that defines the district of Huazalingo. The embroidered blouse here is a combination of smocked and running stitch. The town has recently been paved.

This mother and daughter posed for a picture and also gave me some coffee. The town is making many improvements however is still very traditional and many generation of women still wear the characteristic running stitch embroidered blouse. The blouse in the lower image is one that I purchased in town.
