Tenexcalco, Mixtla, Veracruz, Mexico is located on a very difficult rock and dirt road. The women wear a distinctive style of modern clothing. The village looks out over three states, Puebla, Oaxaca and Veracruz. Absolutly amazing views here!

Some villages just grab my attention, sometimes for the textiles or the views or just the difficulty in getting there. In the case of Tenexcalco it was the trip in to the town, a bone jarring car pounding 90 minutes in first gear. There is a stylized blouse worn here that can be seen on all three women pictured here. The views were some of the best I have seen in the Sierra Zongolica and that is saying something. This region looks out over the mountains of Puebla, Oaxaca and Veracruz.
