Copila is located on a dirt road ( 8/06) which leads out of Naupan. On my way to Meztla I gave a ride to two women, they turned ut to be from Copila. Once I explained the purpose of my visit they brought me to the home of Francisca Hernandez Avilla who along with her husband agreed to participate in the textile study. Her blouse was a cross stitch, which is a bit different than those in nearby communities. She made her own blouse and table cloths and other embroidered textiles. She also brought me to visit her daughter who did not wear the “uniform” but did massive embroidered table cloths.
