Xoxocotla was a lot small than I though it would be. It was obvious as we drove into the municipality that wood products were the most important product in the region. There were boards drying on almost every house. There is an effort at reforestation in the region and some work was visible as we drove down into town. After a few minutes of roaming around an asking about weaver we came upon this family. The daughter wove and the mother spun. She was not able to weave but assisted and teaching and creating the wool. She did not have a loom set up but showed us here “palos” sticks.
Soon afterward a family called us over and I took some pictures of them even though they are not Nahuatl they did produce crafts.
