As we drove up from Orizaba towards Tequila and Zongalica, at the crossroads that divide the roads to Zongalica and Tequila, there is a small craft shop. In the shop I spoke with the clerk who was there and she showed me some blouses that were marked “Magdelena”. Magdelena is a small community that is tucked away in the mountains. We didn’t get a chance to go, but we do have an example of the type of textile costume that is used there.
