Tepecxitla, Chicontepec, Vera Cruz here, the older women wear embroidered blouses or knit blouses.

Tepecxitla has its own mountain which with out doubt has its own legend; its history will be reserved for the return trip when I go to deliver these pictures. The town is very small. As we approached a local man told us we could find a lot of Spanish moss at the base of the mountain. The Spanish moss is used in December as part of the Nativity scenes. In these pictures the grand daughter helped convince her grandmother to let her picture be taken. The beads that are worn in this region are simple glass or plastic beads similar to those used in New Orleans during Mardi gras.
