Xochitlan de Vicente Suarez is the municipal capital of this district. The town is rip for eco-tourism. There are many interesting places to see in the town. The crafts in the district are amazing.

I first visited Xochitlan in 1993 and then again two times in 2005, durning the visit in Oct 2005 I was invited by the presidenta of the DIF ( helps families) to come back and document the municipality. I returned in august 2006 with a couple from New York Marco and Alicia who sponsored the trip. The town is paving the streets and other major improvements. There are cabañas in town with a wonderful view. There is also a small hotel and a restaurant. In general I have found the towns people to be friendly. There is a handicrafts store in the center of town right cross from the Municipal Palace.
