Cuauntemoc Coxquihui Veracruz is a small indigenous community. There were many women wearing the traditional Totonacan dress here. The municipal government gave me a guide to help me get the photos for this gallery. The town was orderly and clean. ©Robert E. Freund 4/4/2007

This town is literally on the other side of the mountain from the municipal capitol , there is a steep road running up the hill and then down into the town on the steep downward curves the road is paved to help transport during the rainy season . The town itself is orderly and the older two generations of women still where the traditional costume. We past through this town on the way to another village and when I returned I spoke to an elderly man who showed me his wifes auechquemitl and the blouse worn a number of years ago which are pictured in the lower part of this gallery
