Some women weave textiles using wool yarn that has been dyed with natural vegetable dyes. Reviving use of these dyes has been a goal of Pedro Meza, a founder of Sna Jolobil weaver's coop in San Cristobal, and, himself, a weaver and native of Tenejapa.

Traditional clothing and textiles can be purchased at a women's coop near the entrance to town, as well as from small shops on the street where the Thursday market takes place..
