Tehuantepec is large Zapotec town on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. It is in transition to more modern town. / galahuipil

 

This Tehuana huipil is embroidered on velvet with cotton thread. The skirt has a machine made cotton lace fringe along the bottom.
