Mexican Indian Textile Patterns - Textile patterns are the living language of weaving and embroidery. Traditional costumes are know as huipils, camisas, blusas, quechquemitl, renredos, faldas, fajas, senderos etc. which are adorned with textile patterns past down from generation to generation. It is also common for the women to have sample swatches with embroidery on them so they can reproduce them. This collection of designs is identified only by Indian group and is intended to interest you enough to visit the group page. From the group page you can visit in depth with each village that is represented here. Many people would like me to identify the designs; some are obvious while others are more difficult to identify. What do you think they are? Got to Textile Patterns home Page
