These huipil tops are commonly worn by Zapotec, Huave and Mixe peoples of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. These huipil tops are worn with a colorful printed maxi skirt there is also a gala costume which is usually velvet and both the skirt and the huipil are heavily embroidered.
