San Vicente is located in the district of Ejulta, on the road from Oaxaca to Puerto Angel. For many years it was isolated by the River Atoyac, however now there is a road in to the town. The distinctive red crossed stitched blouses called "the Chente / 1a

 

San Vincente is part of the Ejutla district. There is a newer road into the town since I visited in 1972. At that time we had to ford a river to enter the town.
