Tlacotepec is a small Totanacan village in the Sierra of Puebla, the largest concentration of Totanacan Peoples is in The State of Vera Cruz. A friend of ours is from this town and took these pictures and confirmed the dress from this town.

A variety of dancers getting ready for the festival, they might dance all day for a number of days.

The dancers from many dance groups. Often they are from different parts of town or hired by the mayordomo from another village to perform. These dances are not entertainment but an integral part of the ceremony. They usually are allegorical in meaning.
