Yalalag, a Zapotec town in the Sierra Juarez of Oaxaca / 3_huipil1

 

Fiesta huipil made on a back strap loom and embroidered collected in 1975. Today day to day huipils are still worn in town, they are often made from commercial poplin and the only adornment is the tassel.
