Guadalupe Victoria is a huipil and textile-weaving town; it is part of the Xochistlahuaca district. Large back strap looms are busy all over town. Young women weave here some as young as 12 years old.

Guadalupe Victoria is on a decent dirt road outside of Xochistlahuaca. During my visit, a buyer accompanied me from Xochi, when we got to town, the local store announced out arrival over the town loud speaker in Amusgo. I was then taken to a number of different homes where I video taped the weaving process. These images are captured from that video. The young weaver was about 11 or 12. All the women were wearing the summer dress while working. In the hut above, you can see the loom extending out of it, the shade is so important in the town was is usually hot.
