Barrio Hondo is a small community next to Huautla. As I was looking for the person who was the cultural promoter of the town, I became lost and stumbled into Barrio Hondo. Bob Freund 3/1/2005

During an earlier visit to Huautla, I stumbled into the community known as Barrio Hondo and was able to catch the woman on the left as she was heading toward the main road. This trip (2/05)a merchant and I spoke about the about loss of textiles and language in Huautla. He was helpful in orienting me about the area and the festival that day in Huautla. Then this woman came by wearing her embroidered blouse, he convinced her to let me take her picture. She is from Barrio Hondo her name is Agustina Snachez.
