These photos were taken in Feb 2006 and are representative of the type of dress worn in the municipality. As you can see there are older women that still wear the traditional costume but among the younger generation it is rapidly evolving into a stylized dress which is recognized by other villages in other regions as from Mixtla. During this visit I was surprise to find that the paved road was not finished when in Feb 2006 is seem close to completion. The other secondary roads are in poor condition and poverty seemed to be the same. Many men migrate to the US in search of work
