Zacatepc is a barrio of Ocotepec; the Nahua here weave baskets and embroider as well as bead work. There was also a orchid on the hillside called Tempachocani , “flower that cries in the abyss”

The small hamlet of Ocotpec is actually par of the larger village Ocotepec. The town is known in the region as a basket weaving town. As we stood there talking about baskets a woman brought out a basket filled with embroidery samplers. This is something I love to find, because it gives a good idea of the types and styles o embroidery in the town.
