Crafts people are everywhere in the village, beading, pounding paper or embroidering, during festivals the extent of the traditional costume is very evident. Paper making is every where in town and you can hear the pounding stones on wood every where in the village. The bark is boiled, shredded and placed on the board, then pounded with a small flat stone. The paper is used in a ceremony call "costumbre " and has a long history of use by healers.
