Solalpan like so many other indigenous towns is agricultural based and the handicrafts are used as for supplemental income. Rayemundo Hernandez took me into the woods and brought me to a spring which was one of many in the region. These springs are important spiritual places as well as sources of the fresh water. There is a road that goes directly to the Otomi ceremonial center built on the 1960´s.
