Atzacualoya, Chilapa Guerrero is a small Nahua village. They produce clay pots, comals for tortillas, giant caldrons for mole and other clay products used in the region. Angelina Gonzales Lazaro pictured here is showing how the goods are produced.

The first series of product is a hand molded pot used for beans. It ist created without the use of a mold. The second series is Angelina making a casserole, the interesting this is that they don’t use a potters wheel but rather walk around in circles to form the piece.
