Zacatepec, Oaxaca is a town a unique mens costume has survived. The small embroidered figures and animal have spawned a rich handicraft industry which uses these designs to create a broad variety of textile handicrafts. Here we can see the men´s costumes purchased in 1972 in Oaxaca City. They are made from hand woven muslin and although they look very much alike, on closer inspection you can see differences in the types of animals and creates embroidered on them. There are also some huipils from the collection of Elwell /Aleto.
