When we arrive in Tordillo many people knew my guide Andres and directed him to a number of different women. The First pictured here is 105 years old. The wonderful thing in most of Mexico is the respect that old people are given. This is a wonderful example of this, this woman while almost totally deaf is given a task that she is capable of doing. In this case she is cleaning the black beans and removing all pebbles and other material from the basket. Her daughter told me with much pride that she does it very well and the frijoles made with the bad tasted the best.
